Jim has been Managing Director of The Wydown Group, a financial consulting firm, since 1994. He is a Director and Member of the Executive, Audit and Finance Committees and Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Stifel Financial Corporation; a Director of twenty-five Phoenix Mutual Funds; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the John Hancock Trust and John Hancock Funds II.; and a member of the Investment Committee of the Endowment for Health, a New Hampshire non-profit corporation. Jim served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Neworld Bancorp Incorporated from 1984 to 1994, and President of Metro Bank Holding Corporation from 1977 to 1984. He was a founding director and member of the Governance and Nominating Committees of Investors Financial Service Corporation (sold to State Street in 2007) and a Director of the New Hampshire Trust Company. He is former Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee and Member of the Audit and Personnel Committees of Connecticut River Bancorp, Inc., and Connecticut River Bank (merged with Mascoma Savings Bank in 2013 and an Emeritus Trustee and former President of the Board of Trustees of Middlesex School. He holds degrees from Harvard College and the Harvard Graduate School of Business, and served in the Peace Corps in Kathmandu, Nepal.
